Martin County West graduate Brandon Williamson threw six shutout innings for the Louisville Bats in an International League game at Louisville Slugger Stadium Saturday night.
The Bats, the Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, won 3-2 over the Columbus Clippers, an affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians.
In his six innings, Williamson allowed four hits, walked four and struck out two. He threw 83 pitches, 48 for strikes.
Williamson was not involved in the decision. Louisville led 2-0 when he left the game.
The Clippers would tie the game in the top of the ninth with the Bats recording a walkoff win in the bottom of the inning.
It was Williamson’s fifth start for Louisville. He has a 1-2 record with a 3.27 earned run average.
In 22 innings the left-hander has allowed 10 runs (eight earned) on 24 hits, walking 13 and striking out 17.
