JCC stays put, MCW moves up

Jackson County Central stayed in the same spot and Martin County West slid up a little in the latest ratings released today (Thursday) by uthe Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches Association.

The Huskies are again fourth in Class AA while the Mavericks are tied for third in Class A after being fifth last week.

JCC is 14-1 on the season after sweeping Redwood Valley Thursday by scores of 11-1 and 12-0. Both games were six innings because of the 10-run rule.

The lone loss this season for Jackson County Central was 1-0 to No.1 Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial. Caledonia is second, switching places with St. Cloud Cathedral.

MCW is 13-1.

The Mavericks have a game at Madelia Friday and then plays three at the Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove tournament on Saturday.

Martin County West then faces top-ranked United South Central on Monday in Wells.

Northfield is the new leader in Class AAA with previous No. 1 Mankato East slipping to fourth.

Bloomington Jefferson again leads Class AAAA.
