
Jackson County Central slipped a spot to ninth in this week's Class 2A softball poll by the Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches Association. The Huskies are 8-1 with a doubleheader scheduled vs. Pipestone Thursday.
Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial, which lost to unranked LeSueur-Henderson after beating JCC 3-2 in a matchup of unbeatens last Saturday, remains second. The Knights (10-1) lost 3-2 to the Giants in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday and then won the second game 7-5.
Randolph (11-0) is again ranked first in Class 2A.
United South Central (11-0) is rated first in Class 1A. Cleveland (9-2) fell out of the 1A ratings after its 6-1 loss at Martin County West on Tuesday.
Mankato East (8-1) is the Class 3A leader. New Ulm (6-0) of the Big South Conference moved up to second.
Forest Lake (10-1) leads Class 4A.
