Jackson County Central has moved up to eighth in the latest Class 2A rankings by the Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches Association.
The Huskies have a 4-0 record. They’re scheduled to host Fairmont (4-1) at 5:30 p.m. Monday. The Cardinals received votes in the 2A ratings. Randolph (5-0) is ranked first in Class 2A.
United South Central (7-0) is rated first in Class 1A.
The Rebels are slated to play at Martin County West (4-1) on Friday, April 25. The lone loss for the Mavericks was 3-2 at 1A No. 7 Cleveland (6-0). Those teams are scheduled to meet again on April 29 in Welcome.
Mankato East (4-0) is the Class 3A leader. New Ulm (3-0) of the Big South Conference is rated eighth in 3A.
Forest Lake (3-0) leads Class 4A.
