After a hectic week that saw them compete four times in five days including tournaments with 13 and 14 teams on back-to-back days, Jackson County Central entered only five wrestlers in the Takedown on 22 tournament in Mapleton Saturday.
Nolan Ambrose won a tournament for the second straight day, winning each of his three matches by fall, winning in :49, 2:47 and :40. He also went 3-0 with three falls on Friday in Jackson as he won the Big South Conference tournament.
Ambrose is now 41-1.
Seth Stai placed fourth at 160 as he went 2-2 on the day. He’s now 27-17.
Jack Mix placed sixth at 215 pounds. He is 12-17.
Carson Kolander (8-12) did not place at 172 and Ryan Haley (27-13) did not place at 189.
JCC also had two girls compete and place fourth, Aubrey Carnesi at 112 and Izzy Moonen at 118.

JCC's Drake Grein went 0-2 at the Minnesota Ninth Grade Wrestling League individual state tournament Saturday at Champlin Park High School.
He had to medial forfeit his second match.
What’s ahead
This will be the final week of the regular season and the Huskies have a pair of duals on the schedule, hosting Windom/Mountain Lake Thursday and traveling to New Ulm Saturday in the Big South Conference championship match.
First-round and quarterfinal matches in the Section 3A team tournament are on Thursday, Feb. 15. The final four teams compete in the semifinals and finals on Saturday, Feb. 17 at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Tracy.
The Section 3A individual tourney is Saturday, Feb. 24 in Pipestone.
The state tournament is Feb. 29-March 2 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
