Carsen Musser split time in goal Saturday night as the U.S. Under 18 National hockey team was a 6-2 winner over Utica University at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.
The Sherburn native started and stopped all 10 shots he faced in 29 minutes and 39 seconds of playing time to record the win.
Musser has played in 12 games for the NTDP this season and has a 7-2 record. Team USA is 22-4 overall.
In 570:30 of ice time Musser has a save percentage of .890 and a goals-against average of 3.26.
NTDP plays three games this week before taking a two-week break, starting with a home game at USA Hockey Arena Wednesday morning vs. the Muskegon Lumberjacks.
The U18s then play two games in Iowa, Friday at the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Saturday at the Dubuque Fighting Saints.
After a break, NTDP plays Minnesota at 3M Arena at Mariucci on Thursday, Dec. 29 and at North Dakota on Saturday, Dec. 31.
