Jackson County Central placed second out of six teams in the girls meet and fourth in the boys at the Wolverine Indoor Invitational track and field meet Saturday at Bud Myers Field House at Minnesota State University.
River Valley held off the Huskies 126-119 for the girls title.
The JCC girls had six first-place finishes, four by Rylie Cother.
Cother won the 55-meter low hurdles (9,45), 55-meter high hurdles (9.26), high jump (5-0) and long jump (15-11 ½).
The Huskies also won two relay events.
The 4x200-meter relay team of Daysia Tomlin, Hannah Carson, Adyson VanWesten and Natalia Botello-Ramos won that event (2:00.64) and the 4x800 unit of Isabella Moonen, Zadi Farmer, Naiya Ayers and Cora Pauling won that relay (11:37.58).
Claiming the lone first-place finish for the boys was Evan Paplow in the 1600 meters (4:46.3).
Jackson County Central is scheduled to compete in its first outdoor meet Tuesday, April 2 in Luverne.
