Freshman Knox Larson will represent Martin County West at the state Class 1A golf tournament Tuesday and Wednesday at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker.
Larson qualified for the state tourney by tying for fourth place at the Section 2A tournament at North Links Golf Course in North Mankato.
One of the players in Larson’s group that starts on No. 10 at 12:08 p.m. Tuesday is Braiden Davis, a senior from Springfield who was part of that tie at the section tournament. Rounding out the threesome is Carson Devos, a junior from Ada-Borup-West.
Also in Class 1A, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley senior Parker Brock also is back to seek a successful title defense of his 1A boys title.
In 2024, he recorded a two-round of 140, two strokes better than Lakeview’s Carson Boe. They will start in the same foursome in the first round.
Look for Lac qui Parle Valley senior Carson Besonen to also be among the leaders.
