Evelynn Christenson of Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin qualified for the state Class A girls cross country meet at the Section 2A meet Thursday at Baylor Park in Norwood Young America.
The freshman placed seventh out of 103 runners with a 5K time of 20:14.81.
Charlotte Meyer of Loyola/Cleveland/St. Clair was the individual champion in 18:09.02.
Loyola/Cleveland/St. Clair was the team champion with 76 points, with Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey second with 102. Both advance to the state meet.
Brody Cook led the MCW/B-O boys by placing 70th of 112 runners in 20:18.00. Loyola/Cleveland/St. Clair’s Soren Kelly was the individual winner in 16:27.51.
LCSC won the team title with 48 points, with MLAC second with 83 points.
The state meet is Saturday, Nov. 2 at Les Bolstad University of Minnesota Golf Course in Falcon Heights.
