
For the fourth straight week, Jackson County Central is fourth in the state Class 2A football rankings. The rankings are compiled by the Minnesota Star Tribune’s Jim Paulsen and distributed statewide by the Associated Press.
The Huskies are 5-0 on the season and will host Minnesota Valley (2-3) on Friday.
The three teams ahead of JCC in 2A are the same and picked up the 12 first-place votes in the class with No. 1 Barnesville (5-0) collecting eight, No. 2 Eden Valley-Watkins (5-0) one and No. 3 Chatfield (5-0) three.
Fairmont (5-0) is again third in Class 3A behind Stewartville (5-0) and Dassel-Cokato (5-0). The Cardinals host Class 4A No. 10 Marshall (4-1) Friday.
Each of the other top-ranked teams is also the same, Nevis (9-player), Minneota (1A), Stewartville (3A), Becker (4A), Alexandria (5A), and Lakeville North (6A).
