Pulling away in the second half, the Jackson County Central girls basketball team was a 58-46 winner over section rival Redwood Valley Friday in Jackson.
The Huskies are 8-4 overall on the season, while the Cardinals are 7-4.
JCC trailed throughout the first half including 24-22 at halftime. The Huskies went on an 11-2 run early in the second half and went on to claim the win.
Rylie Cother led Jackson County Central in scoring with 37 points. Paylin Sether was next with seven.
The Huskies will host Belle Plaine in a nonconference game Friday.
That will be the third road game of the week for the Tigers, who are at Jordan Monday and Norwood Young America Thursday.
