After being held to only one hit in its first game of the day Jackson had 11 hits and drew eight walks in a 14-3 First Nite League amateur baseball win at Worthington Sunday. Earlier the Bulls had lost to league-leading Windom 12-2 at Wacker Field.
Jackson scored six runs in the first inning at Worthington and went on to beat the Cubs for the second time this season.
Four players had two hits apiece for the Bulls.
Evan Olesen had two hits including a double, walked and had three runs batted in; Andy Wolf had two hits and walked twice; Briar Rowley had two hits and a walk; and Blaise Jacobsen had two hits.
Collecting one hit apiece were Nate Monson, Zach Neal and Alex Bretzman.
Gavin Jacobsen was the winning pitcher as he went five innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits, walking six and striking out eight. Kevin Holm and Sean Minder each pitched an inning.
In its first game of the day, Jackson's only hit was an opposite-field single by Bretzman leading off the third inning.
Ben Scheevel started and took the loss for the Bulls. Minder, Lucas Gardner and Holm also pitched.
Jackson has two games scheduled this week before taking the holiday weekend off. The Bulls host Mountain Lake at Wacker Field Wednesday and have a nonleague game at Lamberton Thursday.
