The Bruins, who play their home games at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, played their first season in the Big Ten Conference in 2024.
Extending the offer to Voss was Jerry Neuheisel, assistant head coach and tight ends coach for the Bruins. He’s a former UCLA quarterback and has been a coach with the Bruins for seven seasons.
Jerry is the son of Rick Neuheisel, also a former QB and head coach at UCLA. Rick was also head coach at Colorado and Washington and is currently a college football analyst on CBS.
UCLA was 5-7 overall and 3-6 in the Big Ten in 2024.
It was the first season as head coach for DeShaun Foster, a former all-American for the Bruins who played six years in the NFL, five with the Carolina Panthers and one with the San Francisco 49ers.
Voss will attend Junior Day at Minnesota this weekend.
The Gophers are looking to continue a trend of keeping the state’s top talent at home. In four of the last five years, the top-ranked recruit in the state has committed to the Gophers.
Trey Bixby committed to the U in 2022; Koi Perich committed in 2024; and Emmanuel Karmo followed in 2025. Jaxon Howard, 2023’s top-ranked recruit, committed to LSU out of high school but has since transferred to Minnesota.
Gopher head coach P.J. Fleck and five offensive assistant coaches made an in-home visit to Voss earlier this month.
