Roman Voss, who will be a junior at Jackson County Central this fall, received his third offer from a Division I Football Bowl Subdivision program this past week.
Kansas State of the Big 12 is the latest school to extend an offer. The Wildcats join a pair of Big 10 schools, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
K-State’s head coach is Chris Klieman, who coached four Football Championship Subdivision championship teams at North Dakota State in his five seasons as head coach of the Bison. NDSU won seven national titles while he was part of the program.
The Wildcats are 39-24 in five seasons under Klieman including a 9-4 record in 2023. K-State ended the season with a win over North Carolina State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
Voss, whose position is listed as Athlete, is the sixth ranked player in the state from the state in the ratings for the Class of 2026 by prepredzone.com.
Also in that class, Weston Rowe is eighth among offensive linemen and 17th overall.
Two JCC players from the Class of 2027 are also state ranked.
Gage Johnson is rated sixth among running backs and 15th overall and Carter Buhl is No. 13 as an Athlete.
