Murray County Central scored with 42 seconds remaining to get past Martin County West 24-18 in a matchup of state-ranked football teams that entered the game with 5-0 records.
The Rebels were rated first in Class 1A by The Associated Press this week, with the Mavericks ranked eighth.
Abram Paulzine threw a 10-yard TD pass to Chant Mitchell and Carter Benda ran in the two-point conversion to complete the comeback for MCC, which had trailed 18-8 in the third quarter.
Christian Bachenberg threw two touchdown passes for Martin County West, an eight-yarder to Tanner Sinn with 3:53 remaining in the first quarter and a 12-yarder to Zach Anderson with 2:30 to go in the second period.
Carver Rohman scored MCW's other touchdown from one yard out with 2:28 remaining in the third that gave the Mavericks an 18-8 lead.
MCC would answer quickly to score with 56 seconds to go in the third as Paulzine scored from five yards out and Christian Tentiger ran in the conversion.
The Rebels would then win the game in the final minute to improve their record to 6-0, while MCW is now 5-1.
Martin County West had 112 yards rushing and 146 passing for 258 total yards, while Murray County Central had 201 on the ground and 30 in the air for 231 yards.
Bachenberg was 16-for-26 passing. Anderson caught nine passes for 58 yards and Sinn caught eight balls for 63 yards.
Rylan Cutler led Martin County West in rushing with 54 yards on 15 carries.
Benda led Murray County Central in rushing with 149 yards on 27 carries.
Paulzine was 4-8 passing for 30 yards. Mitchell was the lone Rebel with more than one catch as he caiught two passes for 19 yards.
Wyatt Williamson was credited with 10 tackles for the Mavericks, Max Olson had eight and Jacob Fiala seven. Anderson had an interception that he returned 22 yards.
MCW will host Springfield on Thursday. The Tigers are also 5-1 after a 57-6 win over Sleepy Eye Friday.
