All of Jackson County Central's spring sports teams are scheduled to be in action on Thursday.

Three teams (boys track and field, girls track and field and baseball) are scheduled to be in Windom and another (softball) is slated to host their rivals from just up Highway 71.
Also, both JCC golf teams are scheduled to head to Pipestone.
For the baseball team, it's the season opener after having a home game vs. Blue Earth Area postponed twice.
On last Saturday's KSUM Sports Roundup, coach Mike Wierson said the Huskies have two players with a lot of varsity playing time from the last season of high school baseball in 2019, senior Gavin Jaocbsen and junior Levi Lindley.
Seniors Leighton Polz and Mason Pohlman saw limited playing time that season.
Wimdom is 0-1, dropping their opener at Luverne 7-5 last Friday.
According to the Cottonwood County Citizen's Twitter account, the Eagles will play their first game at Island Park in nearly three years.
JCC's track and field teams are scheduled to compete in a triangular at Windom. Pipestone is the third team.
The meet will be the first time the Huskies have competed using a revised meet format that will be used on occasion this season due to Covid-19 restrictions limiting the number of competitors. The boys meet starts at 3:30 p.m., with the girls scheduled for 5:30.
In softball, Jackson County Central is slated to host Windom in a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m.
The Huskies are 1-1, splitting a doubleheader vs. Martin County West in Welcome, winning the nightcap 11-8 after dropping the opener 13-12. The Eagles will be playing their first games.
For the golf teams, it will be a nine-hole match at Pipestone starting at 4 p.m. They had originally been scheduled to play 18 holes last Thursday.
The girls had a 468 total for 18 holes at a tournament in Worthington last Saturday.
A JCC boys golf team will be competing for the first time since the final day of the state Class 2A tournament in Jordan on June 12, 2019.

Martin County West's teams are scheduled to be on the road Thursday, with the baseball team playing its Valley Conference opener at Cleveland. The game was rescheduled from Tuesday.
The Mavericks lost opener at home to Blue Earth Area last Saturday.
Also Thursday, the MCW golf teams are slated to play at Madelia starting at 4:30 p.m.
