Sadie Voss of the University of Sioux Falls volleyball team has been named Freshman of the Year and second-team all-conference by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
The Jackson County Central graduate is a 5-foot-10 outside hitter for the Cougars.
"We knew from the beginning that Sadie would play a big role for us," said USF Coach Dan Mathews. "The way she handles her role as a freshman leader is truly a testament to her mindset and to the support she receives from her family. Overall, she's a great player and an even better teammate and that's what truly sets her apart as she plays the game."
Voss is second on the team in kills for the season with 248 kills that includes a career high of 19 vs. Chadron State. She’s fifth on the team in attack percentage at .228.
Voss leads the team in digs with 271 digs including a career high of 24 vs. Minnesota State.
She is second in service aces with 24 with a career high of six against Bemidji State.
