Right now they’re playing quarterback for an undefeated football team, but they’re also being listed among the state’s top basketball players for the upcoming season.
Roman Voss of Jackson County Central and Zach Anderson of Martin County West have been named the top prospect in their respective section by prephoops.com.
Voss, a freshman, was named the top prospect in Section 3AA and Anderson, a senior, was honored in Section 2A. Anderson is a Wayne State College commit.
Jackson County Central is scheduled to open its season with three home games in four days, hosting Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey on Friday, Dec. 1; Blue Earth Area on Saturday, Dec. 3; and Martin County West on Monday, Dec. 5.
MCW has two games scheduled before playing at Jackson, traveling to Nicollet on Thursday, Dec. 1 and Hayfield on Friday, Dec. 2. The home and Valley Conference opener is Friday, Dec. 9 vs. Cleveland in Sherburn.
