Fairmont High School graduate Connor Tordsen tied Dakota State University' s school record in the men's hammer throw Wednesday at the University of South Dakota Twilight Meet in Vermilion.
The meet featured schools from NAIA to NCAA Division I levels.
Tordsen had the top NAIA hammer throw with a mark of 165 feet, 2 inches. That placed him seventh overall.
A junior, Tordsen shares the school record with Tyler Lems. He threw 165-2 in April of 2019 in Orange City.
The Trojans will compete in the Ron Masanz Classic in Moorhead on May 1.
