Skylar Prochaska competed in “Hard Knox” Night Friday at the 60th Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway.
The Lakefield driver was 30th in his group of time trials, placed 11th in his heat race, but then was not able to start in his B main.
Rico Abreu won the 25-lap A main, his third career win at Knoxville and his second on Friday night of the Nationals. It puts him in the 21st starting spot for Saturday night’s 50-lap finale.
Anthony Macri was second Friday, with Shane Stewart third and Brock Zearfoss fourth. They'll start in positions 22-24.
Gio Scelzi will start on the pole for Saturday's night's feature, with Brad Sweet on the outside.
Kyle Larson and Brent Marks will be in the second row, with Donny Schatz and David Gravel in the third row.
