Brandon Williamson started out strong, striking out six batters in the first two innings, but he would eventually take the loss Friday night as the Arkansas Travelers lost to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
The Martin County West graduate struck out the side in each of the first two innings, but would allow five runs in the third and three in the fourth as his record slips to 0-3 with Arkansas in the Double-A Central League.
Williamson would go five innings, being charged with eight runs (four earned) on seven hits, walking one, hitting and striking out nine. He threw 92 pitches, 57 for strikes.
The Travelers trailed 8-2 when Williamson left the game and would lose 8-7.
