The Jackson County Central girls basketball team will meet a pair of good teams this week as the two teams the Huskies will face have a combined record of 9-1.
JCC will host the first of those two games Tuesday as St. Peter visits Jackson.
The Saints are 5-1 and have won three straight games since their lone loss of the season to Orono. The Huskies are 3-3 after a 61-51 loss at Tri-City United Friday.
Then comes a 6 p.m. game at Fairmont Friday in the first of a girl-boy doubleheader.
The Cardinals are 4-0 and will host New Ulm Tuesday before hosting JCC.
Fairmont’s wins have come over New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva, Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial, St. James Area and Martin County West. The game vs. Jackson County Central will be the sixth consecutive home game to start the season for the Cardinals.
JCC and Fairmont are both in the South Sub-Section of Section 3AA.
After the game at Fairmont, Jackson County Central has a week without a game before playing Dec. 27-28 in Marshall vs. Marshall and MACCRAY.
