Second-seeded Jackson County Central faces top-seeded Redwood Valley in the championship match of the Section 3AA South Sub-Section volleyball tournament at 7 p.m. Thursday in Windom.
Both teams won their semifinal match at home Tuesday by a 3-1 margin.
The Huskies, 14-16, defeated third-seeded Windom by set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 20-25, 26-24. The Cardinals (23-6) won over Luverne 21-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-17.
Redwood defeated JCC 3-0 when the teams played in Jackson on Sept. 10.
The top two seeds also advanced to the title match in the North Sub-Section, where No. 1 New London-Spicer (16-7) plays No. 2 Paynesville (16-9) in Willmar. NLS won 3-0 when those teams met on Sept. 3 in New London.

Marshall heads to state again
Big South Conference champion Marshall dropped the first set but won the next three to defeat Willmar 3-1 in the championship match of the Section 2AAA volleyball tournament Wednesday night in Redwood Falls.
The second-ranked Tigers beat the fifth-ranked Cardinals by set scores of 25-27, 25-21, 25-21, 25-8 to advance to the Class 3A state tourney that starts Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
It’s the seventh straight year there’s been a state tournament that Marshall has qualified. There was no state tournament in 2020.
The Tigers have long been a fixture in the state tournament. This will be the 50th state volleyball tournament and Marshall has played in 33 of them.
