Jackson claimed a win over each of its amateur baseball opponents in the county Sunday, winning 9-2 at Lakefield after a 5-0 win at Heron Lake earlier in the day.
In the evening game, five Bulls pitchers combined to strike out 16 and limit the Frogs to four hits.
Evan Olesen went four innings and struck out seven, Will Larson fanned two in one inning, Pat Boggess struck out four in one and two-third innings and Sean Minder struck out in two innings.
Chris Gumto reached base in each of his five plate appearances as he had two hits and walked three times.
Payton Handevidt had two doubles and four runs batted in; Andy Wolf has two hits, walked and was hit by a pitch; and Alex Bretzman had two hits.
Shad Wacker and Olesen each had a hit and walked once; and Blaise Jacobsen had a hit. Gavin Jacobsen recorded an RBI on a sacrifice fly that scored his dad, Blaise.
Dustin Pronk had two hits including a double and was hit by a pitch for Lakefield. Taylor Christopher and Bryce Christopher each had one hit.
Phil Pronk took the loss for Lakefield. Dalton Henning pitched in relief.
The Bulls are 2-1 on the season, while the Frogs were playing their first game.
Earlier in the day, Ryan Rasche threw a one-hitter at Heron Lake. He walked three and struck out 11.
Six players had one hit apiece for Jackson, Wacker, Olesen, Gumto, Nate Monson, Leighton Polz and Bretzman. Handevidt picked up an RBI with a sacrifice fly.
Jackson plays Mountain Lake Wednesday in St. James, while Lakefield is at Fairmont.
