Carsen Musser is one of three goalies on United States roster for the International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 Men’s World Championships that are underway in Basel and Porrentruy, Switzerland.
A Sherburn native and Colorado College signee, Musser played in 26 games for the U18s this season and posted a 13-6-1 record.
He played 1,270 minutes and 10 seconds, has a save percentage of .888 and his goals-against average is 3.21.
The U.S. is competing in Group B in the Word tournament, where it defeated Latvia 7-1 in its first preliminary round game Thursday.
Next up for the U18s is a game at noon central time today (Saturday) vs. Norway, which lost its first game of the tournament 5-0 to Switzerland Friday. That game, and all games the U.S. is playing, will be televised on the NHL Network.
Other preliminary games are vs. Finland at noon Sunday and Switzerland at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
