ST. PAUL - Hanna Geistfeld of Truman, a 6-foot senior from Truman, has been named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference women’s player of the week again.
It’s her eighth honor of the season and the 14th of her career. She continues to add to her record marks in both weekly conference honors and individual season honors.
Geistfeld averaged 37.5 points, 14.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game and shot 71 percent from the field in wins over Northland College and Wisconsin-Superior.
She also has become the 20th member of the NCAA Division III club for 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds.
The Vikings are 15-6 overall and are undefeated in the UMAC with a 10-0 record. That’s the best conference start to a season in program history.
BLC is at home again twice this weekend, hosting Crown College at 5:30 p.m. Friday and Minnesota-Morris at 3 p.m. Saturday.
