Jackson County Central moved up one spot to fifth in Class 2A in the latest Minnesota high school football ratings. The rankings are based on the votes of media members across the state.
The Huskies are 4-0 on the season after receiving a forfeit win from LeSueur-Henderson last week. JCC hosts Redwood Valley in its homecoming at 7 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Field.
The top four in the 2A poll remain the same, with Barnesville first, followed by Caledonia, Chatfield and Eden Valley-Watkins.
Fairmont is up one place to fourth in Class 3A, with Dassel-Cokato, Stewartville and Esko remaining in the top three slots. The Cardinals host New Ulm this week.
Other top-ranked teams are Mountain Iron-Buhl (9-player), Minneota (1A), Becker (4A), Mankato West (5A) and Eden Prairie (6A).
