NICOLLET –Martin County West has won the Valley Conference boys basketball title and St. Clair has clinched at least a share of the girls crown.
MCW wrapped up the boys title with its 65-39 win at Madelia Thursday. The Mavericks finish conference play with a 14-2 record.
Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial will finish second at 13-3. Mankato Loyola and St. Clair are tied for third at 11-4 with each team having a game remaining.
For the girls, St. Clair is 12-1 and can wrap up sole possession of the title with a win at Cleveland Tuesday. A loss and the Cyclones would tie for the title with Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial with 12-2 records.
Nicollet and Truman/Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain are tied for third at 9-5 .
