Jackson County Central is rated second in Class 2A in the preseason ratings by the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association.
Sauk Centre, which defeated the Huskies in the championship match of the state tournament last year, is first.
In fact, the defending state champions are rated first in each class, Mayer Lutheran (1A), Marshall (3A) and Wayzata (4A).
JCC will open its season vs. St. Peter at the Big South Conference Showcase in Marshall on Saturday, Aug. 27.
The Huskies then play Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda on Okabena on Tuesday, Aug. 30 before the home opener vs. Spirit Lake on Thursday, Sept. 1.
Big South Conference West Division play starts Tuesday, Sept. 6 at home vs. Redwood Valley.
