Waseca defeated the Jackson County Central girls basketball team for the second time in nine days Saturday, 56-47.
The visiting Bluejays led 26-19 at halftime and led as many as 17 points at 38-21 in the second half. JCC got as close as six points late in the final minute.
Rylie Cother led Jackson County Central in scoring with 27 points and she also had four steals.
Maci Farmer posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Kylee Wenzel grabbed seven rebounds for the Huskies.
Waseca is 13-5, while JCC is 8-9.
The Huskies play again Monday when they travel to St. James Area.
After a three-game week last week, Jackson County Central has a four-game week ahead this week and three of those are on the road.
JCC is at St. James Area Monday and Fairmont Tuesday, hosts Marshall in the Auxiliary Gym Friday and then makes a trip to Caledonia on Saturday.
Assuming all of the games are played, that would make it seven games in 12 days for the Huskies and they would play 30 percent of their regular-season schedule in that span.
It was the 200th career win for Waseca Coach Joan Conway and the Waseca Athletic Department tweeted the news out:
