Jackson came from behind to stay undefeated on the amateur baseball season as the Bulls were 6-4 winners in a nonleague game at Blue Earth Wednesday.
The Pirates scored twice in the second and once in the third for a 3-0 lead. Jackson scored one in the sixth, three in the seventh and two in the eighth.
Chris Gumto made his return to the Bulls' lineup and had two hits including a double and recorded an RBI on a bases-loaded walk.
Easton Bahr was on base five times as he had a hit, walked three times and was hit by a pitch.
Ryan Rasche had an RBI single and walked once and Payton Handevidt recorded a hit an RBI as he put down a squeeze bunt to score Bahr and was safe at first.
Blaise Jacobsen had an RBI single and walked once, Shad Wacker had a hit and Trace Michelson got his first hit as a member of the Bulls.
Sean Minder was the starting pitcher for Jackson. He went five innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out five and not walking a batter.
Pat Boggess pitched three innings-plus innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits, walking one and striking out five. Kevin Holm would finish up, allowing a hit but leaving two Blue Earth runners stranded.
The Bulls return to First Nite League play at Windom Sunday.
Game suspended
Wednesday's game between Lakefield and Heron Lake was suspended in the fifth inning due to an electrical failure at Stan King Field in Lakefield.
The Frogs led 10-3 in the top of the fifth inning. The game will be resumed June 13 in Heron Lake and the teams then will play their regulary scheduled game.
Lakefield is scheduled to play at Ruthton Sunday.
