Sadie Hotzler after setting a new arena Open Barrels record in Jackson this summer.

Sadie Hotzler of Jackson was eighth in the first round of the 19U barrel racing at the Western Legacy Tour Finals at Horseman’s Park in Las Vegas Thursday with a time of 14.686 seconds.

In first place is Ashlyn Goven of Rozet, Wyo. in 14.248.

The event continues through Saturday.
