Martin County West graduate Brandon Williamson struck out 11 batters in five and two-third innings for the Arkansas Travelers vs. the Springfield Cardinals in a Double-A Central League game in North Little Rock, Ark Friday night.
Williamson struck out five in a row in one stretch.
He allowed one earned run on three hits and walked two. Williamson threw 92 pitches, 60 for strikes.
He was not involved in the decision. Arkansas led 2-1 when Williamson left the game. The Cardinals tied the game at 2-2 in the eighth inning before the Travelers eventually claimed a 4-3 win.
