CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Martin County West graduate Brandon Williamson allowed two runs in five innings and was not involved in the decision in an eventual 7-6, 10-inning win for the Chattanooga Lookouts over the Biloxi Shuckers Sunday.
The Lookouts are the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, while the Shuckers are an affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Williamson allowed five hits, walked two, hit one and struck out eight.
For the season, he has a 5-2 record with a 4.02 earned run average.
Williamson has pitched 62 and two-third innings, allowing 28 runs on 55 hits, walking 37, hitting five and striking out 68.
He ranks second in the league in innings pitched, third in strikeouts and eighth in ERA.
Chattanooga has a 32-31 record and is in third place in the Southern Division of the Southern League.
