Brandon Williamson threw four shutout innings before leaving the game after getting just one out in the fifth as he took the loss as the Frisco RoughRiders defeated the Arkansas Travelers 8-1 in a Double-A Central League game Friday night.
Williamson retired the side in order in the first, second and fourth innings, but would be replaced in the fifth.
The Martin County West graduate went 4.1 innings, allowing 4 runs (2 earned) on 3 hits, walking 3 and striking out 5. He threw 86 pitches, 50 for strikes.
Williamson's record in Double-A is now 1-4 with a 4.53 earned-run average. Including his time in High-A with Everett earlier, he is 3-5 with a 3.99 ERA.
