Jackson County Central’s girls golf team opened its season Saturday at the Worthington Invitational on a windy Great Life Golf & Fitness course. The wind was 30-35 miles per hour throughout the day with a peak wind gust of 45 mph.
The Huskies did not have a complete team.
Rachel Mohr was low for JCC as she tied for 13th place out of 31 golfers with a 118 total.
Ramsey Johnson tied for15th with a 119 and Isabelle Henning tied for 22nd with a 129.
Co-medalists for the meet were Brynn Gustafson of Fairmont and Ava Johnson of Murray County Central, who both shot 97.
The host Trojans were first in the team standings with a 437 total, with Fairmont second with 448.
Both the Jackson County Central girls and boys golf teams will host Murray County Central Monday at Jackson Golf Club.
