
After their first loss of the postseason after six straight wins, the Minnesota Timberwolves host the Denver Nuggets in Game 4 of their NBA Western Conference semifinal series at 7 p.m. tonight (Sunday) at Target Center.
The game can be seen on TNT with play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan, color analysts Reggie Miller and Jamal Crawford and sideline reporter Allie LaForce.
The Nuggets won Friday’s Game 3 117-90 to cut the Timberwolves lead to 2-1.
Game 5 will be Tuesday in Denver.
Other notes:
Minnesota’s Mike Conley had 10 points, six rebounds and six assists in Game 3, his fifth game with 10 or more points this postseason. It was his 17th career playoff game with more than 10 points, five rebounds and five assists as he became the oldest player in franchise history to record such a stat line and just the 16th Timberwolf of any age to do so.
In his seventh game of the postseason, Anthony Edwards became the fourth player in franchise history to score 200 points in a single postseason. He joins Kevin Garnett, Latrell Sprewell and Sam Casell.
The 27-point win for the Nuggets was the largest margin of victory in the playoffs for Denver since 1987 and tied for the fifth-largest margin of victory all-time.
Denver’s Nikola Jokic had 32 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists Friday. It’s the 17th time in his career in 27 games he’s posted 30-plus points, 10-plus rebounds and five-plus assists, fifth-most in league history.
