Martin County West graduate Katie Lange will be a member of the U.S. women’s freestyle team that will compete at the 2023 U23 World Championships in Finland in October.
Lange will represent the Minnesota Storm at 68 kg (149 pounds).
She qualified for the world team by winning the 2023 U23 Nationals.
Lange was a gold medalist at the 2021 U20 Pan American Championships.
As a sophomore with the Augustana University women’s wrestling team, Lange was the 143-pound champion at National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships.
The U23 World Championships will be held Oct. 23-29 at Tampere Ice Stadium in Tampere, Finland. The women’s freestyle team is scheduled to compete Oct. 25-27.
