Changing the oil is the act of removing the used oil in your engine and replacing it with new, clean oil.

2 Rubber bands vs. 7 Gump Worsley
Rubber bands are a loop of rubber, usually ring or oval shaped, and is typically used to hold multiple objects together.
Lorne "Gump" Worsley played in the NHL from 1952-1974 with the New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens and Minnesota North Stars. He was vehemently opposed to wearing a mask and was the second-to-last professional goaltander to wear one.

3 Sombreros vs. 6 Turnips
A sombrero is a broad-brimmed felt or straw hat, typically worn in Mexico and the southwestern U.S. Apparently the guy whom this pod is named for is attempting to tilt the voting. There doesn't appear to be anything in the bylaws to prevent it.
Turnips are a root vegetable commonly grown in temperate climates worldwide for its white, fleshy taproot.
